    Eamon Remastered

Eamon Remastered is a web-based update of the classic Eamon game system, created by Keith Dechant. It runs entirely in a web browser, eliminating the need for Apple II or MS-DOS emulators. Eamon Remastered includes enhancements from versions 6.0, 7.0, and Eamon Deluxe, such as embedded artifacts, openable doors and gates, and healing potions. It also introduces new features like the ability to bring armor and shields found during quests back to the Main Hall, a point-and-click interface, and a sidebar displaying the player’s current location and inventory. As of now, Eamon Remastered offers 42 adventures, including classics like “The Beginners Cave” and original adventures like “Malleus Maleficarum.”

Kenneth Pedersen’s online version of Eamon Deluxe is a cross-platform update of the classic Eamon adventure system, originally created by Frank Black. This version includes an updated Main Hall based on the Graphics Main Hall and dozens of adventures converted to the DOS game engine. The installation package includes a copy of DOSBox, allowing the game to be played on any modern computer. In early 2024, Pedersen made Eamon Deluxe available for online play using the DOSBox emulator with Emularity, enabling the game to run directly in web browsers.
